The value for money at this hostel was fantastic, with clean and spacious rooms. The location was convenient, close to the station and shops. The staff, especially Ross, were friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home.

The only thing that could have been better was the selection of food for breakfast.

I recently stayed at Flying Fox Backpackers for a weekend getaway from Sydney. The central location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and main cafes and shops. The room was comfortable, and the evening fire in the lounge area created a cozy atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond, making my stay memorable. The vegan curry dinner was delicious, and I loved the no-screen time policy that encouraged socializing and playing musical instruments. Being next to a large fruit market was also convenient. I'll definitely be coming back!

Had a great time spending my xmas at this hostel! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to Scenic World and the Blue Mountains. The owner was really friendly and helpful, giving me advice on what activities to do in the area. The room was spacious and even had an electric blanket to keep me warm in the cold Katoomba nights. The other guests were also friendly, and we even had a fun barbecue one night. a nice and cozy place to spend the holidays.

There were a few downsides to my stay. The shower in the main bathroom didn't have enough hot water, but luckily there were two other showers that worked fine.

I stayed at Flying Fox Backpackers for a weekend getaway and it was one of the best hostels I've ever experienced. The cozy atmosphere made me feel like part of a family, with a warm fire, comfortable living room, and even a firepit and barbecue. The rooms were surprisingly cozy, and I even enjoyed free mulled wine one night. Ross, the staff member, was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing fantastic tips for exploring the Blue Mountains. The facilities were always clean and tidy, and the well-equipped kitchen and spacious living room were a bonus. The location was convenient, with easy access to the 3 Sisters, the train station, and local shops and restaurants. I would definitely return to Flying Fox Backpackers.

    100% Recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic experience at this backpackers hostel. Ross, the owner, went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. From picking me up at the train station to giving me a room upgrade, he really made me feel welcome. He even organized a free pasta night for all the guests. the hostel had a relaxed backpacker vibe and was very close to the train station. the atmosphere was great, with comfortable couches and a cozy fireplace in the common area. the kitchen was clean and well-equipped, and there was even free coffee, tea, and breakfast in the morning. My room was clean, secure, and had a heater. the shared bathroom was also clean and had a heater. the location was convenient, with shops, restaurants, and even a nearby Dan Murphy.

It was one of my best hostel experiences and I would love to return. Cons: Nothing, no complaints at all.

I got amazing value for my money at this cosy and character-filled hostel. The room was clean and comfy, with all the necessary amenities for a short or long stay in the mountains. The location was convenient, being just a short walk from the bus station and with parking available outside. The staff, especially Ross, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel at ease and well taken care of. The hostel had a great vibe, and I loved hanging out with fellow guests during breakfast and around the cosy fireplace. It was a ridiculously affordable and wonderful place to stay, and I can't wait to visit again.

The location of this hostel was absolutely perfect! It was just a short drive away from some of the most beautiful hiking spots in the Blue Mountains. Plus, there was a grocery store conveniently located right next door. And let's not forget the comfy beds! After a long day of exploring, it was so nice to come back to a cozy bed and get a good night's sleep.

The occasional noise from passing trains and traffic. I had a room that was closest to the road, so it was a bit louder for me.

The atmosphere at this hostel was incredible, just like being at a friend's cozy cottage. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The wood stove fire in the common area was a great touch, keeping us warm and adding to the homely vibe. Free breakfast and coffee were a huge bonus, and the free advice from the staff always came in handy. The location was perfect, nestled in the heart of nature with breathtaking views of the mountains. I had an amazing time here.

That it got a little chilly at night, as there wasn't much heating available. But they provided extra blankets to keep warm, so it wasn't a major issue.
